2020. This triptych was inspired by a trip to a small town in California, where the former boys’ prison is a place to sightsee on Halloween and the local fair featured multiple booths with good old boys selling red hats and 2nd amendment shirts. The scene reminded me of a photograph taken in Colorado in 1926 of the KKK on a Ferris wheel.
The images were hand carved in reverse on a two blocks of wood and then printed with oil based ink by the artist. Three triptychs were created.
