I watched the local tree closely through the summer. The HOA was providing fewer resources than the tree required, and so I, like many humans before me, used a hose to transfer water from one source to another.
In the fall I gathered leaves from the ground to try sewing to things. I especially enjoyed playing with composition in time with this piece. Knowing that the leaf would dry, I loosened the tension a bit on the thread to allow the leaf some space to contract, but when fully dry, they'll still snap. The dried particles of leaf of leaf fall away, but not all of them, and my hand will be revealed again.
