2024. I glued a series of fatphobic messages into this journal and then responded to those thoughts loosely with a variety of pens.
It frustrates me that in 2025, even self aware, politically aware people are susceptible to fatphobic messages. These messages interact with white supremacy, teaching us that to be desirable and worthy, a person needs to have a body of a certain shape. They also often promote ideas about participating in appropriated “solutions” and stolen resources from oppressed people.
I would like the collector of this work to sleep soundly knowing that I prefer them juicy.
