How few layers of base plastic were needed? How hot could the iron get before it stretched a hole in the plastic? This was important because I was trying to melt the smaller pieces, made of crispier soft plastic - the kind sometimes lined with a silver, metallic looking plastic, other times lined with a thinner, transparent plastic skin. Neither of these types of plastics melts well, but the reward for success is more vibrant colors.
